Emma is twelve and new school year

Emma was thrilled to receive a trumpet for her twelfth birthday!
Soon after - it was the first day of school:

The annual Midland Balloon Festival was completely rained out, but we did get a chance to tailgate with our neighbors before the rain came in:

Surfing at the WaterPark - August 2008

Spencer and Emma had an awesome time on the surfhill at the waterpark we went to in Michigan with our neighbors. Kevin even tried it out! Jill saw the results of too many embarrassing wipe-outs to try this in public ;-)
